Echoes of Haworth by JoCa, Art of NOMA

For immediate release · Mexico City, October 5, 2026

Art of NOMA presents Echoes of Haworth, JoCa's solo exhibition of new oil paintings, as an online exhibition on Artsy from October 1 to November 11, 2026.

All 24 works from the series can now be seen in one place, including the 21 oil paintings that sold on opening night and three Brontë cameos still available to collectors.

The exhibition opened on September 17, 2026 at Iker Ortiz's Galera 32 in Narvarte Poniente, Mexico City, in collaboration with Alessandra Migliano's Galería Errante. It was curated by Rafael Pérez y Pérez and produced by Napkin71, the art agency founded by Paulina Villarreal. The series sold out in less than two hours.

Echoes of Haworth takes Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë as its point of departure. The sisters published as Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell, and JoCa's portraits work in the space between a public name and a private self. Faces fracture through visual glitches inside gilded frames, between recognition and disappearance.

The online exhibition includes Agnes Grey (220 × 220 cm), the three Jane Eyre canvases (134 × 100 cm each), Cathy+Heathcliff, Winter's Morning, Catherine Earnshaw, Dark Eyed Sailor and the small Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell portraits.

The three cameos (Anne, Charlotte and Emily Brontë, 2026, resin and 24k gold leaf, 35 × 27 × 4 cm, edition of 3) are offered in editions 2 and 3, hand-signed and framed, at US$4,700 each, on Artsy and at artofnoma.com.
