What is Art of NOMA?
Art of NOMA is a contemporary art gallery in Mexico City representing 40 emerging international artists, founded and run by curators Josh Stein and Carlos Algara. It sells original paintings, sculpture, photography and limited edition prints, and its artists exhibit at galleries across Mexico City and internationally.
Is Art of NOMA a real gallery?
Yes. Art of NOMA represents artists, mounts exhibitions and sells original work — recent shows include Little Miss / Trauma Miss at Galería Manifesto and Somniloquy with Pali Galería during Mexico Art Week 2026. It keeps no permanent space by design, so more of what a work earns goes to the artists rather than to rent.

JoCa is a multidisciplinary artist based between Spain and Mexico, whose fractured, non finito portraits treat identity as something perpetually under construction, shaped by technology and contemporary life. Yes. We ship worldwide, fully insured, with rates calculated at checkout for Mexico, the US, Canada, most of Europe and South America — and a direct quote for anywhere else.
Is it safe to buy original art online without seeing it first?
Every listing carries full dimensions, medium and detail images, and our curators will answer any question about a work before you commit. If you're in Mexico City you're welcome to see the piece in person by appointment.

How much does original art at Art of NOMA cost?
Works range from about $2,100 to $281,000 Mexican pesos — roughly $125 to $16,500 USD — with most falling between $8,500 and $42,600 pesos ($500 to $2,500). Prices display in pesos by default and can be switched to US dollars on the site.
What is the least expensive way to start collecting?
Signed limited edition prints are the most accessible entry point, starting at about $2,130 pesos (around $125 USD). Every print is numbered, signed and ships with a certificate of authenticity, exactly like an original.
Do you have affordable artwork?
Yes — 18 works in the current collection are under about $8,500 pesos (roughly $500 USD), and 73 are under $17,000 pesos ($1,000). Signed limited edition prints start at about $2,130 pesos.
Are prices the same on Artsy and on your website?
Yes — the price of a work is the same wherever you see it. Artsy displays in US dollars because Artsy is a US company; our own site displays in Mexican pesos by default, with a currency selector to switch to USD.
Do you have active discount codes or promotions?
No — we don't run discount codes or sales, because marking down one-of-a-kind work isn't fair to the artist who made it. If there's a work you love, write to us and we'll talk.

A certificate of authenticity is a signed document confirming a work's authorship, title, medium, dimensions and edition. Every work sold by Art of NOMA includes one, signed by the artist.
Do you sell second-hand or pre-owned articles?
Most works come to us directly from the artist and are new to the market; where a piece has a prior history we say so on its page. Everything we sell is an authenticated original or signed limited edition with a certificate of authenticity.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes — we ship worldwide, with rates calculated automatically at checkout for Mexico, the United States, Canada, most of Europe and South America. If your country isn't listed, write to us before you order and we'll quote the route and crating directly.

Shipping is priced by the size of the work, fully insured, and packed to professional art-handling standards. Most works are dispatched within five to seven business days, as originals are crated to order.

Do you offer express shipping?
We'll arrange whatever shipping options are available for your region and do our best to meet a deadline. For fine art, proper packing and protection always take priority.
Do you offer free shipping?
No — shipping is charged on every order and priced by the size of the work. If you're in Mexico City, you're welcome to collect the work in person at no charge.
How is artwork packaged for shipping?
Every work is custom packed by hand with archival materials, in a purpose-built crate or double-walled box as the piece requires, and fully insured. Unframed canvases travel rolled or flat-packed; sculpture and ceramic are foam-blocked and double-boxed.
Can I track my order?
Yes. All shipments include tracking details once the order has shipped.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Collection in person can be arranged by appointment in Mexico City — write to us and we'll set a time.
Customs and import
Who handles customs and import taxes?
Import duties, taxes and customs fees are the buyer's responsibility unless otherwise stated, and we provide accurate documentation to ease clearance. We declare artwork accurately and will not under-declare a work's value.

Returns and damage
What is the return policy?
Because each work is unique, we don't accept general returns. If a work arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, contact us the same day with photos and we'll make it right — refund or replacement, handled case by case.
What happens if artwork is damaged in transit?
Photograph the packaging and the piece immediately and contact us the same day with the images. Every shipment is fully insured, and we handle the claim and resolve it with you directly.
Do you allow customers to request and manage their own returns?
Returns aren't self-service. Contact us directly and we'll handle it with you personally.
Viewing, reserving and commissioning
Can I view artworks in person?
Yes — we arrange private viewings by appointment in Mexico City. Write to us and we'll set a time and place.
Can I reserve an artwork?
Yes — contact us and we'll set the work aside so it isn't sold while you decide. Reservations are arranged directly by email or WhatsApp.
Can I commission a work from one of your artists?
Yes — a number of the artists we represent accept commissions, including JoCa. Tell us the artist and roughly what you have in mind, and we'll arrange it directly.
Do you offer framing or installation services?
Yes — we can frame any piece before it ships, however you'd like it presented. For works staying in Mexico City we can also coordinate delivery and hanging.
Do you work with interior designers or architects?
Yes — we work with designers, architects and consultants sourcing work for projects, including framing and, in Mexico City, delivery and hanging. Write to us and we'll work with you directly.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale orders?
Most of our works are unique originals, so we don't sell wholesale. If you're furnishing a hotel, an office or a project and want several pieces, write to us and we'll work with you privately, case by case.
