Francisco Gonce

Francisco Gonce (Mérida, Yucatán, 2000), is currently studying Architecture at the Marist University. His work was born from a physical limitation, which prevents him from exploring the world around him as he would like, so he captures his thoughts and desires on canvas instead. His work is autobiographical, whether due to the way he chooses his forms or the selection of color palette, governed mainly by influences from his childhood and adolescence. Mainly through abstract expressionism, he allows cretain shapes to guide his work, re-signifiying them, giving rise to a composition and to new ways of understanding said shape.
