Roti Martínez

Roti Martínez (Aguascalientes, Mexico, 1984) Her work is born from color as a universal language. Martinez works with watercolor but primarily in acrylic, inspired by Mexico, nature, women, plants, and animals that inhabit her personal universe. Pre-Hispanic codices allow her to explore ancestral symbols and bring them into the present. Her creative process flows between control and intuition, where she lets water and pigment surprise her. Martinez strives for each piece to transmit energy, joy, and a connection to her roots, inviting the viewer to find a reflection of themselves within the work.
