A personal art concierge. Tell us what you are looking for, and a curator goes and finds it.

Most people arrive at art with something in mind they cannot quite name — a wall that needs answering, a room that feels unfinished, a budget they are not sure how to spend well. Our advisory exists for that conversation.

You work directly with Carlos Algara, a professional art curator and one of the two people who selects every work Art of NOMA represents. Not an account manager and not a sales representative — the curator himself. It costs nothing.

How it works

Tell us what you are after. A room, a mood, a colour, an artist you already like, a budget, a deadline. Vague is fine — most good briefs start vague, and the conversation is how they stop being vague.

We go looking. Across the work of the artists we represent, including pieces not yet listed, and studio work still in progress. If nothing existing is right, a number of our artists accept commissions and we will arrange one.

You get a short, considered selection. A handful of works with the reasoning for each — why this artist, why this piece, why for you. Not a catalogue.

We handle everything after. All communication with the artist, framing however you would like the work presented, professional crating, and fully insured shipping anywhere in the world. In Mexico City we can also deliver and hang it.

Who it is for

First-time buyers. If you have never bought original art and are not sure where to begin, this is the least intimidating way to start. There is no minimum and no wrong question.

Collectors building something. If you already know what you are doing, a curator who knows every artist on the roster personally is a shortcut to the ones you have not met yet.

Designers and architects. Sourcing for a project, a hotel, an office. We work to briefs, budgets and installation dates.

Anyone buying a serious gift. Tell us about the person. We are good at this.

What it costs

Nothing. You pay the price of the work, which is the same price shown on this site — advisory clients are not quoted differently. Every piece arrives with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
