Details
Kissers distills what Tori Pounds returns to again and again — intimacy, relationships, and the tenderness of human connection. The UK-based painter works from memory and imagination blurred together, and here she narrows attention to a single act where boundaries dissolve and closeness becomes the whole subject.
Painted in oil on canvas, the work uses soft tonal transitions and warmth to mirror its emotional register. Detail is kept deliberately spare, so gesture and form suggest rather than define. At 30 × 30 cm the square format makes the encounter feel personal — a piece that asks to be met up close rather than across a room.
