Details
Paranoid Android is Daniel de Polignac painting the psychology of the present head-on. Named among the works that define his practice, it deals in unease and introspection — the fragmented state of contemporary consciousness, the blurred edge between human emotion and technological presence — with the confrontational honesty his canvases are known for.
It is acrylic on canvas, worked for decisive mark-making, layered color, and sharp contrast. Paint becomes a vehicle for mood rather than description, the surface holding both control and urgency. At 90 × 60 cm the format puts the image at eye level and close range, creating a sense of direct confrontation that rewards sustained looking.
