Details
Shocked belongs to Daniel de Polignac's ongoing reading of the psychology of the present — identity, reaction, and the patterns of human behavior he returns to across his canvases. Direct and unfussy, it holds a charged emotional register without spelling out its scene, meaning carried through presence rather than narrative.
Worked in acrylic on canvas, his primary medium, the painting favors bold, direct handling over detail; brushwork and tonal contrast set the emotional temperature. At 90 × 60 cm it stays legible and immediate, the kind of confrontational honesty that defines his work. Ships mounted on a professional wooden frame, ready to hang.
