SOUL 01 anchors the series that gives Genoveva Kelleher's practice its name, where she paints the soul as a place and moves through consciousness, emotional rupture and the natural world in a register close to expressionism. As she often does, she leaves the surface looking excavated rather than composed — energy allowed to circulate without settling into fixed form.
