Synergetic Atmosphere continues Genoveva Kelleher's practice of painting the soul as a place. Her large-scale abstractions move through consciousness, emotional rupture, and the natural world in a register close to expressionism, and this canvas — among her largest — gives that inquiry room to become weather and terrain. Built up rather than arranged, the work feels excavated as much as painted.

Worked in oil, the surface carries raw gesture and collaged incident, passages of rupture and reassembly held in a single expanse. Kelleher lets the material lead, so atmosphere gathers from accretion and erasure rather than depiction.
