Tammi Terrell is the second large work the gallery cites for Pia Dehne, who works between painting and collage. It reads less as a likeness than as a tribute to the singer — persona and cultural memory built up, scratched back, and rebuilt until presence emerges through material rather than resemblance, glamorous and haunted at once.

Worked in acrylic, coffee, and pastel pencil on fabric, the unconventional palette does real work: acrylic grounds the color, pencil draws the line, and coffee stains the cloth with an organic warmth. Absorption and bleed stay visible, so the surface itself carries the subject. A unique 2022 work, mounted on a professional wooden frame and ready to hang.
