Paloma Ulacia Altolaguirre (Mexico City, 1957) is a Mexican poet, novelist and painter. Daughter of the surrealist painter Paloma Altolaguirre, who was part of the surrealist movement in Mexico. She got her Master's Degree in Art at La Sorbonne de Paris. Her work is a personal form of imagination: flowers, vases, newspaper pages, people sitting and contemplating, surrounded by birds that are also stars. Figures meditating on lonely planets. The artist calls them "lunatics," and they're always accompanied by the mirror of time. They're there, perpetual, unable to leave.
