CD7001 by Pepe Reyes Limited Edition Rollage Print

CD7001 is part of Pepe Reyes's rollage series made with JoCa, in which a printed image is cut and reassembled into something new. The coded title keeps the emphasis on sequence and system over subject; there is no scene to read, only a structure that reveals its logic through repetition. It is painting translated into a fragmented, layered register.

Built from a giclée print on William Turner Hahnemühle 190 gsm paper, the work is folded and repeated so the flat image takes on physical depth. The archival print carries tonal precision while the rollage introduces the tension between order and disruption that defines the collaboration. Its near-square 31-by-30-centimeter format holds the rhythm clearly for close viewing.
