The work has an unusual, interactive dimension: parts of the surface are sealed beneath a layer of latex that the owner can peel away a single time, uncovering the woman beneath in one irreversible gesture. Concealment and revelation become the real subject — protection, and the decision to let oneself be seen. Made in oil and latex on fabric, the supple latex plays against the depth of the oil, the surface shifting as light moves across it.
