Memory 1106 extends Chuma Montemayor's ongoing Memory series, where the image is treated as something remembered rather than recorded. True to the series, this is less a document than a trace — a photograph interrupted and layered until recollection reads as unstable, revised, quietly insistent.

The work is an inkjet print with direct acrylic intervention, which sets it between image and object: the print lays down a precise photographic base, and the applied acrylic breaks it with texture and opacity. It is one of only five, marked 2 of 5 with an artist's proof, and comes framed in wood, ready to hang.
