Memory 8007 is part of Chuma Montemayor's Memory series, his long look at time and recollection where a picture is treated as something that persists and shifts in the mind. Rather than a literal image, it works as visual residue — the way a memory surfaces, dissolves and re-forms.

Printed with inkjet on cotton paper, the work leans on that paper's soft, tactile surface to hold fine tonal gradations without harsh contrast, keeping everything muted and contemplative.
