Johanna El Zelah models feeling into clay, shaping masks, flowers, and the female figure into small, charged objects with titles that sound like confessions. No estoy triste (azul) — “I'm not sad (blue)” — plays that contradiction openly, the denial and the color pulling against each other in a single hand-built form.

Made in low-temperature ceramic with engobes, grog, and enamels, the piece is modeled entirely by hand; the grog lends the clay body a coarser, more granular texture under the glaze. Finished in its titular blue, the surface shifts between matte and sheen, an intimate object built to be held as much as seen.
