Built in low-temperature ceramic and finished with engobes and enamels, the piece is modeled entirely by hand, so its surface and gesture are the artist's own. The glazing shifts between matte and sheen as it catches the light, and the compact, held scale trades size for wit — an object meant to be picked up and turned over.
