Tattooed Heart is one of the works the gallery cites as central to Alexandra Connolly — a painter of the city's texture whose oils draw on graffiti, street culture, and the noise of urban Mexico. The title suggests something marked onto a person and left there, and the painting reads as an emotional imprint more than an image, carrying street energy and private feeling at once.

Worked in oil on canvas, the surface accumulates in slow layers, color embedded in the weave so the picture feels built over time. Connolly moves between figuration and abstraction; here she holds intimacy and composure together, feeling emerging through control rather than display. A unique 2024 painting, mounted on a professional wooden frame and ready to hang.
