What emerging art costs in Mexico City

Our prices, in the open

Many galleries do not publish prices. We do. Every available work on artofnoma.com shows its price in Mexican pesos (MXN). This page counts those prices so a first-time buyer can see the shape of the list before choosing a work.

All numbers are as of 8 October 2026, from the gallery’s own catalogue. They cover the 215 works available that day, by 39 artists. Sold and unavailable works are not counted. The count and the prices will change as the catalogue changes.

The overall picture

  • Lowest price: 2,274 MXN.
  • Median price: 34,011 MXN. Half of the available works cost less, and half cost more.
  • Highest price: 300,089 MXN.

How to read this

This is one gallery’s primary-market list. It is not a market index, and it says nothing about what any work will be worth later. We make no claim about investment. We think people should buy art they want to live with.

What moves a price

  • Size. Larger works usually cost more.
  • Medium. A print and a painting by the same artist are priced differently.
  • Edition. A unique work and a numbered edition are not priced the same way.
  • The artist’s exhibition history. Shows and institutional attention matter.
  • Demand. Interest in an artist can change a price over time.

Currency

Prices are listed in pesos. Depending on location, the shop shows the amount in US dollars at checkout. The peso price is the reference.
