About this work

Blue Tribe translates Daniel de Polignac's concerns with identity and human behavior into a print. Belonging is the subject—tribe as both social structure and emotional state—handled through abstraction rather than depiction, where color, rhythm and repetition carry unity and distinction at once. It sits alongside the direct, presence-driven canvases that define his practice.

Produced as a giclée on William Turner Hahnemühle 190 gsm matte paper, the edition preserves the tonal nuance and saturation of the original while holding a soft, non-reflective finish. The paper's subtle texture gives the blues weight, and repetition of form sets the rhythm. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and produced on demand to keep the edition consistent.
