Aurora Kalos

Aurora Kalos is a Ukrainian artist currently based in Germany. She graduated from one of the oldest art institutions in Ukraine, which provided her with a strong academic foundation for developing her own artistic projects. She works in the field of surrealism with a focus on portraiture. In her work, she explores the complexity of the female soul — its tenderness and strength, vulnerability and inner resilience, beauty and hidden danger.

Artist Statement

"As a woman, I seek to convey my personal emotional experiences through the images of other women. Having lived through years of war, the loss of loved ones, and migration, I have come to understand that everything fragile, delicate, and authentic requires protection. Through my work, I aim to evoke these emotions in the viewer and communicate this idea."
