About this work

Israel González, working as “Matador,” issues spare, exacting images in small signed editions. MAC - 014 continues the MAC group within his ongoing series Más Allá de la Materia — “beyond matter” — where physical form gives way to perceptual experience and restraint becomes the subject. The picture holds its tension quietly, built on essential relationships rather than incident.

The work is printed with archival pigment on 290 gsm baryta cotton paper, a surface that delivers deep blacks, crisp highlights, and controlled gradation. At 35 centimeters square, the format invites the eye in close, where edge and proportion register before anything else. Mounted on dibond in a Pacific maple frame, it presents clean and self-contained.
