Gareth Stehr (Norfolk Island, 1982) grew up in New Zealand. As an abstract artist and skateboarder, his work is a reflection of both his unique environment and his personal journey. The vibrant landscapes of New Zealand and the raw energy of skate culture infused Stehr’s art with a sense of movement and freedom. His experience dealing with a brain injury profoundly shaped his perspective and creative expression. Each piece the artist creates is an exploration of the interplay between chaos and control, mirroring the dynamic nature of skateboarding. In Stehr’s own words, his art “serves as both a therapeutic outlet and a celebration of resilience.”
