About this work

Anotaciones (Some Days) belongs to the series where Ricardo Luévanos treats painting as a form of notation — the surface inscribed rather than declared. The Anotaciones works read as records of emotional states held quietly beneath, and this one takes its subtitle from the variability of daily feeling: moments that pass without resolution but leave a trace.

The work is built from fabric, gesso, and acrylic paint. Fabric brings softness and tension, gesso builds relief, and acrylic anchors it in color and gesture, so the surface reads as both bodily and constructed. At 150 × 110 cm with a 20 cm depth, it steps off the wall and holds space as an object rather than a flat image.
