About this work

Arturo Lemus Beltrán paints where classical technique meets the machine age, staging hyperreal encounters between the human and the digital. Contemplando Universos Internos (“contemplating internal universes”) turns that gaze inward, toward interior space rather than external spectacle. The surreal, science-fiction charge remains — glitch, reflection, unease — but here it serves introspection, using old-master realism to probe the self and its machinery.

Painted in oil on canvas in a tall, narrow format, the composition draws the eye vertically, reinforcing the sense of looking into something rather than across it. The rendering stays precise and controlled, its measured light doing much of the emotional work.
