About this work

Christian Dior Speedo continues Chuma Montemayor's Memory series, where the image is handled as something remembered rather than recorded. Across the series he works through photographic and mixed-media processes toward repetition, erosion, and the way a picture persists and mutates in the mind. Even a charged, brand-inflected title arrives here as a trace — interrupted and layered rather than declarative.

The work is an inkjet print on cotton paper, whose tactile softness carries subtle tonal shifts without hard contrast, keeping the muted, contemplative feel the series depends on. The horizontal format steadies the image and invites close reading of surface and tone. Released in an edition of ten, this is print 1 of 10.
