El Fruto del Nuevo Edén stages exactly the encounter Arturo Lemus Beltrán has made his territory — classical technique meeting the machine age. Working in hyperreal oil, he sets humans and robots, the digital and the painterly, into surreal, sci-fi-inflected scenes shot through with glitch and unease. The 'fruit of a new Eden' the title names reframes an old myth as a very contemporary question about technology and the self.
The painting deploys the language of old-master realism — smooth modeling, controlled light, convincing volume — then lets reflection and digital rupture disturb it. At 180 cm across, the scene has room for detail to accumulate. The unease is built into the precision: the more real it looks, the stranger it reads.
