About this work

Karlos Ibarra paints the human figure as a vessel for feeling, returning across his Sinergy and In Sync series to balance, intimacy, and the space between people. Génesis works the same instinct without the figure, holding order and disruption in balance through repetition, tension, and contrast rather than overt symbolism.

Built up in layered gestures of oil on canvas across a broad 180-centimeter format, the surface carries depth and movement that reward prolonged attention. Ibarra lets rhythm do the work — structure and instinct operating at once — the composition staying taut and deliberate throughout.
