About this work

Niamh Barry paints the leisure underside of corporate life. Drawing on seven years spent on the investment team at a major North American growth-equity fund, she depicts anonymous figures mid-decompression — at the bar, in the bath, mid-cocktail. All Work And No Play captures that ritual of switching off, and the quiet emptiness that can sit behind a polished surface.
