About this work

Un Poema — A Poem — is a small work by Jordi Alós, who paints from his Mexico City studio in a language that sets raw expression against classical discipline. Drawing on street culture, art brut and realism, his work moves between the rough and the refined; this piece takes the quieter path, treating a condensed, poetic statement as enough.

It is oil on canvas panel, the rigid support holding his gestures measured and his tonal transitions controlled at close range. At 20 × 20 cm the square keeps everything focused, rewarding proximity and attention to small variations in surface and color. It is offered unframed.
