About this work

Untitled II continues the sequence Giselle Fenig began with its companion, holding to the same open terms. For an artist who treats abstraction as inner vision, the missing title is the point — it keeps the work in the realm of intuition and identity rather than fixed reference.

In mixed media on paper, marks accumulate and interrupt one another across a tall vertical surface, building tension without settling into an image. Pop and figuration surface and submerge, and the material carries the weight; the piece stays responsive, revealing detail slowly under close attention.
