About this work

Jorge Tellaeche paints transformation as geometry, and Melt Away sits at the softer, watercolor end of that practice. Where the Mexican artist's canvases build bold structure, this piece follows his recurring theme of letting go — dissolution as a gradual easing rather than a break.

Worked in watercolor on paper, it leans on the medium's transparency and flow: pigment spreads, merges, and settles into layered tone without weight. Form stays provisional, edges loosen, and resolution remains gentle — the kind of quiet transition that rewards slow looking.
