About this work

Open The Door 1 opens one of Jorge Tellaeche's named series, and the theme is his own: thresholds, choice, and psychological transition. The Mexican artist, who paints transformation as geometry, sets this first piece at the pause before movement — awareness beginning, possibility just visible.

Worked in acrylic on canvas at an intimate scale, the piece pairs expressive gesture with restraint. Color and spatial structure draw the eye inward, reinforcing entry and attention over resolution. It stays open-ended, its small format making the threshold feel like an internal decision rather than a grand gesture.
